When the Belize tourism industry is impacted by events affecting the tourism industry and quality of our visitor's experience, it is important to have a consistent message and a central location where visitors and potential visitors can find relevant tourism industry information.

BelizeEmergency.net is that central location and has been kept updated with the status of highways, roads and visitor attractions during the recent flooding occurring in western, northern and southern Belize. We thank all those who provided updates and encourage you to continue to do so in this and future events.

The communications plan is intended to make visitors aware of relevant tourism industry information and to communicate when we are open and ready for business. The website will contain official BTB releases, destination updates and notices of specials and promotions offered by the industry in the aftermath.

Once this website is activated, links are placed on all BTB websites and ongoing contact is established with local service providers and international trade and media.
