CNBC visits Belize aboard the Norwegian Pearl

The T.V. Crew of CNBC spent a week aboard the Norwegian Pearl on a cruise in the western Caribbean, developing a story on cruise ships and vacationers, primarily Americans traveling on a cruise. Their story looked at filming the events happening above and below the decks of the Norwegian Pearl from engine room to captain's bridge.

The TV crew was also interested in the economic impact the cruise lines have on the destinations they visit. During their visit to Belize, they conducted interviews with the Registrar of Hotels of the Belize Tourism Board, Mr. Lloyd Enriquez, and the Mayoress of Belize, Zenaida Moya to get the port city perspective on the economic impact of cruise ships and the port city's relationship with the cruise industry as a whole. The crew was also hosted in San Pedro as they traveled to Shark Ray Alley and Hol Chan, snorkeled with the nurse sharks and manta rays and took footage of San Pedro Town and Belize City historic sites.
