The Belize Tourism Board Supports Dangriga Beautification Project

Dangriga ProjectThe Belize Tourism Board lent its support to the Stann Creek Ecumenical Junior College's Tourism Club and presented them with a check in the sum of $3,000 BZ to assist in their "Dangriga Beautification Project."

The Tourism Club which aims to support sustainable tourism initiatives will use the donation to place fifteen garbage containers at various locations throughout Dangriga Town.

The placement of the containers has already been identified on streets that are strategically located to enhance Dangriga's tourism product. The streets are George Price Avenue, Ecumenical Drive, Aranda Crescent Street and the beach area in front of the Social Security Office.

The garbage container carry an environmentally - friendly message encouraging residents and visitors to Dangriga of the importance of healthy living and to do their part to protect the environment.

Tourism is becoming one of the most viable industries in Belize and the Belize Tourism Board continues to maintain its support in assisting in projects that contribute to the overall development of the country and enhance the visitor experience.

As tourism continues to be an important economic contributor to Belize's economy, project's such as these aim to show the value of community support in developing Belize's tourism product.
