Frommer's Travel Guide Tours Belize
Travel writer, freelance journalist and poet Eliot Greenspan arrived in country at the end of April for a three–week stay working on updating the Frommer's Belize Travel Guide. Eliot Greenspan is author of Frommer's Belize, the popular Frommer's Costa Rica, Frommer's Guatemala, Frommer's Cuba, Costa Rica for Dummies and the chapter on Venezuela for Frommer's South America.
Frommer's Travel Guides feature reviews and advice from recognized authors such as Greenspan and include complete and in–depth destination guides covering the world through daily e–mail newsletters reporting on the latest travel news and vacation deals. Frommer's Travel Guides are distributed to consumers throughout the United States and much of the written content on the destinations is also featured online. Frommer's online would typically get more than 489,000 visitors per month.
His stay in Belize will see him visiting destinations across the country to include Belize City, Corozal, Cayo, Punta Gorda, Hopkins, Placencia and Ambergris Caye, just to name a few. His itinerary was developed by the Belize Tourism Board in collaboration with its private sector partners; Radisson Fort George Hotel, Tony's Inn, Ka'ana Resort, Table Rock, Portofino, Blue Tang, Coral House Inn, International Expeditions, Turtle Inn, Chaa Creek, Robert's Grove, Hamanasi, St. George's Caye Resort, Iguana Reef Inn and Ian Anderson's Adventures.

Freelance Writer And Photographer In Belize
Freelance writer Karen Catchpole and photographer Eric Mohl are currently business partners. Catchpole and Mohl have been working alongside the BTB to format an itinerary that will cover all their needs while in Belize.
Catchpole and Mohl arrived in Belize on April 9th and during their three week stay the couple will cover several stories during their trip. Their articles on Belize will be featured in National Geographic (circulation of 715,000), the Minneapolis Star Tribune (circulation of 500,000), Travel & Leisure (circulation of 950,000), Every Day with Rachel Ray (circulation of 2 million), The Toronto Star Sun (circulation of 300,000) and receiving www.itravelishop.com with 400,000 visitors per month.
In addition to these greatly recognized and circulated media outlets Catchpole and Mohl are also travel bloggers reaching over 5,500 additional readers who follow them on their travel adventures around the world. They are also featured bloggers for Lonely Planet Guide Book which attracts over 1.25 million visitors every month from their website.
The BTB assisted the couple in securing and programming accommodations and activities with various industry stakeholders such as Ian Anderson's Caves Branch, Lamanai Outpost Lodge, Program For Belize- La Milpa Field Station, The Great House, Mata Chica, Turneffe Island Resort and Turtle Inn.

Liquidassests.Tv Visits Belize
Into The Drink – The Belize Tourism Board supported the visit of LiquidAssests.tv – April 24th through 28th, 2010. The full service media and marketing solution company produces high-quality, high–def video for businesses and organizations and are also producers of the new dive travel television show, "Into the Drink". Into the Drink filmed on location in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye for the first segment of their visit to Belize, where they primarily focused on capturing the superb colors and magnificent marine life of the Belize Barrier Reef.
The crew of six also had the opportunity to experience the richness and diversity of Belize when they traveled inland to the Cayo district as well as Belize City. Footage was captured of the ancient Maya city of Xunantunich, the Green Iguana Project at the San Ignacio Resort. While in Belize City they visited and filmed the Belikin Brewery as well as Travelers Liquor Distillery.

Travel Agent is the leading publication serving travel professionals and has been the established leader in the travel trade for almost a century. This story will give Belize the opportunity to clearly illustrate both of its "identities," in an effort to ultimately inform travel agents and potential travelers of the uniqueness the destination has to offer – elements that no other Caribbean and/or Central American destinations can give travelers. Not to mention the fact that while in Belize, travelers can conveniently enjoy lush inland landscapes & eco–adventure activities and the beautiful beaches – all in one visit.

New York Post Explores Inland And Offshore Belize
New York Post - Travel Writer, Justin Silverman visited from Belize March 19th through 26th, 2010 on a 7-day adventure familiarization tour featuring Belize Inland and offshore attractions.
The New York Post has been a stalwart in the world of newspaper publishing. The New York Post has grown its average daily circulation since 2007 to 724,278 boasting a readership increase of 53 percent in the New York area. The online companion to the print edition of the New York Post was launched in 1997 and recorded 3.9 million unique visitors in July 2007 alone.
Justin's itinerary included stops in the Cayo District where he visited one of the most impressive caves in Belize and the Maya lowlands, Aktun Tunichil Muknal (ATM). In addition, he visited the ancient Maya city of Xunantunich and engaged in horseback riding. He then traveled to the one-of-a-kind beach destination in Southern Belize, Placencia. While in Placencia, he visited the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary as well as a full day of diving & snorkeling off the southern reef at Robert's Caye.

Sports Editor On A Run Through Belize
Michael Sandrock – Sports Editor for the Colorado Daily Newspaper and freelance writer for the Daily Camera Newspaper and The Running Times Magazine visited Belize from March 19th through 29th on an assignment covering a story on volunteers traveling to Belize to donate running shoes to local athletes and facilitate a run for the Special Olympics through the "Shoes for Africa" project.
As a serious, long time runner he is also the founder of the "Shoe for Africa" project where runners donate new and used running shoes and clothes for underprivileged athletes in several countries worldwide.
With a circulation of 116,426, the Running Times Magazine looks to inform, entertain and inspire serious runners with its insightful content. The Daily Camera is a daily newspaper published for the residents of Boulder CO. and holds a circulation of 29, 151.
In addition to his coverage of the volunteers, Michael will also be doing a destination piece on Belize to include his experiences outside of what was initially planned. He had the opportunity to visit Maya cities in Cayo and Belize Districts as well as a visit to the Butterfly Farm and Natural History Center at the Lodge at Chaa Creek and, an afternoon snorkeling off the northern barrier reef while in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye.
