New Director Of Tourism And Chairman Of The Belize Tourism Board

On April 7^th, 2010 , the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Culture in conjunction with the Belize Tourism Board held a press conference with media from across the country. The lunch press conference allowed an opportunity for the public sector's tourism leaders to meet with the press and present its latest management direction. Tourism Minister, Hon. Manuel Heredia Jr. welcomed the press and also introduced Belize's newest Director of Tourism, Ms. Seleni Matus.

In her presentation to the media, the Director outlined BTB's New Value Proposition as well as the expectations of the new type of leadership needed to chart a new course.

The Minister of Tourism also announced the appointment of BTB's new Chairman of the Board, Mr. Lindsay Garbutt and welcomed him in his new capacity. Mr. Garbutt takes over from former Chairman, Mr. Gaspar Guerrero who served for two years. Mr. Guerrero continues to serve on the BTB's Board and the tourism industry.
