TACA Wholesalers Visit Belize

Wholesaler representatives for TACA were in Belize from May 18th thru May 24th on a Luxury Wellness Familiarization trip in an effort to familiarize themselves with the Belize tourism product and create new innovative packages for the luxury traveler.

The group of 15 was welcomed at a luncheon hosted at the Smokey Mermaid Restaurant where representatives of the Belize Tourism Board and the Belize Tourism Industry Association formally introduced themselves and conducted an educational presentation highlighting Belize's culture, history, rainforest and reef. While in Belize the group visited most of the popular destinations including Cayo, Hopkins, Dangriga, San Pedro and Belize City. The group also ventured to explore the mysteries of the Maya world at Xunantunich, dined to the beats of the Garifuna drummers in Hopkins and relaxed to the cool Caribbean breeze at South Water Caye and San Pedro.

The Luxury Familiarization tour of Belize was made possible with the assistance of the Belize Tourism Industry Association, Belize Tourism Board, Discovery Expeditions, Blancaneaux Lodge, Ka'ana Boutique Resort, The Lodge at Chaa Creek, Hamanasi Adventure & Dive Resort, Hopkins Bay Resort, Jaguar Reef Lodge, Blue Marlin Lodge, Maya Island Air, Mansions at Grand Colony, Tropic Air, Victoria House, Smokey Mermaid, Radisson Fort George Hotel & Marina, Belize Western Belize Biltmore Plaza, Las Terrazas, Mata Chica, Turneffe Flats, Maruba Jungle and Spa, Astrum Helicopters and Almond Beach Resort.
