PM Barrow and BTB participate in Caribbean Heritage Month in New York
The Conference of the Caribbean Heads of State and Leaders in the Business Communities was held in New York City on June 13th to coincide with Caribbean Heritage Month in the United States. While Heads of States and Community Leaders met, Caribbean tourism representatives were given the opportunity to showcase what their country has to offer in the line of tourism. Belize's display showcased what the Country has to offer as a tourism destination.
A reception in honor of the Prime Minister's visit was hosted by the Belize Mission to the United Nations in New York that was attended by over 800 Belizeans living in the New York area eager to hear of the developments happening in Belize. The Belize Tourism Board, one of the major sponsors of the event, was represented by Ms. Laura Esquivel, Director of Product Development and Romy Haylock, Product Development Officer, who informed the gathering of the work being done in tourism. Particular mention was given to the infrastructural work, the Tourism Master Plan, the Hundred Day Outlook and the Qualified Retired Persons Incentives Program. The Belize Tourism Board looks forward to continuing its cooperation with the Belize Mission as well as other Consulate and Embassies of Belize abroad.
