Marketing Committee Appointed

The Belize Tourism Board, as a Statutory Authority in the Ministry of Tourism, is legally mandated to develop a destination marketing program to create awareness of Belize as a tourism destination and develop new and emerging market opportunities. In line with this responsibility, the Market Advisory Committee was reconvened. This committee will provide guidance, support and input on all the BTB's marketing related activities and initiatives.

The Committee Members are as follows:

• Mr. Alejandro Ortiz, Belize Hotel Association Representative
• Mrs. Debbie Gegg, Belize National Tour Operators Representative
• Mrs. Lucy Fleming, Western Region Representative
• Ms. Rosita Mai, Northern Region Representative
• Mrs. Beverly Cabral, Southern Region Representative
• Mrs. Lisa Guerrero McCorkle, San Pedro, Caye Caulker and Outer Island Representative
• Mr. Alberto Villanueva, Minister's Appointee
• Mr. Steve Schulte, Airline Representative

The committee will be supported by the Director of Tourism, Mrs. Tracy Panton and Director of Marketing, Mrs. Shakira Oxley Tsai.
