MLT Vacations Visits Belize

A seven-day familiarization trip by MLT Vacations' Product Managers, Ms. Shannon Ran-Valcher and Mr. Steven Bradley, was structured to  conduct meetings and site inspections with a wide cross section of industry stakeholders as they prepare to launch Belize as a new destination in September 2009.   MLT Vacations was in Belize from June 24th-July 1 st, 2009.

MLT Vacations was founded in 1969 and is one of the largest vacation wholesale companies in the United States.  It is a subsidiary of Northwest Airlines which offers packages to Las Vegas, Florida, Mexico, the Caribbean, Costa Rica, and Alaska.  For 40 years, MLT Vacations has partnered with airlines, hotels, and tour companies to offer complete travel adventure packages through three product lines that they manage: North West Airlines WorldVacations, Worry-Free Vacations, and Continental Airlines Vacations. The company serves more than 1.25 million vacationers annually and is a member of the United States Tour Operators Association, American Society of Travel Agents, and Association of Canadian Travel Agents.

Their itinerary took them to several destinations throughout Belize for site inspections and meetings with private sector partners in Belize City, the Cayo District, Placencia, and Ambergris Caye to build relationships with local partners as well as, to personally experience the amenities and activities that Belize has to offer to potential visitors.
