Learning Adventures & Media Inc. Explores The Deep Blue Caribbean And The Mystifying Rainforests of Belize

Learning Adventures & Media Inc.Whalesharks were on the itinerary of expedition team leaders, Wayne and Karen Brown of Learning Adventures & Media Inc. as they visited Belize on a three-week familiarization trip to capture images of the elusive whale sharks.

Learning Adventures & Media Inc. is a subsidiary of The Ocean Adventures which has been bringing the excitement, beauty, and wonder of nature under the sea to audiences for over 20 years.  They are experts in the ocean environment with over 30 years of experience exploring the oceans of the world.  Learning Adventures & Media Inc. speaks to about 150,000 students and teachers each year in  pre-8 grade schools across the United States.  In addition to school assemblies, they are also popular presenters for school Family Fun Nights, Science Nights, Ocean weeks, Career Days, and for children's libraries, museums, aquariums, and nature centers.

During their visit to Belize, Wayne and Karen Brown's focus was the whale shark project.  They went on seven whale shark dives at Gladden Spit as well as an aerial tour of the area to photograph the gigantic creatures from above the sunny skies of our tropical paradise.  In addition to the whale shark their dives brought them into contact with many creatures of the deep blue Caribbean Sea including manatees and dolphins.

No visit to Belize is complete without a rainforest experience and they spent  two days in inland Belize.  Activities here included an expedition to Waterfall Cave where they explored the mysteries and wonders of the cave and picnicked on the cave floor in awe of the ancient Maya who once inhabited the cave.  Their excitement was complete with a rappelling adventure down Black Hole Drop, a three hundred foot drop to the rainforest floor.

Participating private sector partners that made their trip a success included The Radisson Fort George Hotel & Marina, Euphrates Auto Rental, Javier's Flying Service, The Inn at Robert's Grove, Avadon Divers Belize, Turtle Inn Resort, Bella Maya Resort, The Placencia Hotel, Laru Beya Resort & Villas, and Ian Anderson's Jungle Lodge.
