BTB Meets With Tourism Students And Professors On Board The Carnival Valor

The Belize Tourism Board often gives presentations to students from educational institutions throughout the country of Belize and was pleased to do the same for students visiting Belize via a cruise ship in June.

BTB representatives, Lorena Martinez and Shyvonne Leslie met with a group of eight tourism students and two professors who visited Belize on board the Carnival Valor which called to port in Belize on June 5th, 2009.  The group of tourism students and professors were residents of Canada and came from the esteemed CFP Pierre Dupuy University. This is CFP Pierre Dupuy University's 2nd such visit to Belize.

During their short visit to Belize, the group took part in a mini familiarization trip of the city.  They were hosted by the Radisson Fort George Hotel & Marina where they gathered in the Santa Rita Meeting Room for an introduction to Belize via the new 18-minute Belize Country Presentation, "Be One With Belize."

Following the Question & Answer session of the presentation, they engaged in site inspections at four of the city's hotels followed by a Belize City tour.

Participating private sector partners included The Radisson Fort George Hotel & Marina, The Great House, Renaissance Towers, Villa Boscardi, and LJ's Tours.
