Power & Motor Yacht Magazine Visits Belize
Mr. Patrick Sciacca, editor of POWER & MOTORYACHT magazine, was in Belize experiencing Mother Nature's Best Kept Secret. He arrived on January 25th and left January 30th, 2009 after being pampered to the best fishing Belize had to offer.
POWER & MOTORYACHT was founded in 1985 and has an audited/controlled circulation of 159,332. Recognized as the #1 publication in the marine category, POWER & MOTORYACHT serves its distinctive and passionate readership with product and lifestyle information about powerboats 24 feet and larger. Since its inception, the magazine annually publishes the renowned POWER & MOTORYACHT100, a ranking of the world's largest mega-yachts.
Mr. Sciacca itinerary took him to three key areas in Belize. The first leg to San Pedro where he started with a fishing orientation - highly recommended-regardless of your level of experience, before embarking on his fishing trip. This was followed with a visit to one of the Caribbean's premier saltwater-fly-fishing destinations, Turneffe Flats, where he had the opportunity to catch bonefish, permit and tarpon. The final leg of his itinerary took him to South Water Caye for deep – sea- fishing and throlling inside of the reef, at a depth of 60 - 80 feet.
Each monthly issue of the POWER & MOTORYACHT magazine is packed with must-read information on cruising, engines, ship systems, boat purchasing, yacht finances, special events, gears and accessories, maintenance and navigation tips from hobbyists and professional sailors which will surely satisfy all queries around power boating!
As POWER & MOTORYACHT magazine aims to educate as well as entertain, also contains beautiful photography of paradise-like destinations for your cruising adventures along with recounts by sailors, that will truly stir your mind and heart to set sail and make your very own voyage.
Participating private sector partners who assisted in making this trip successful included El Pescador Lodge, Blue Marlin Resort and Turneffe Flats.
