BTB Opens New Airport Office

The Belize Tourism Board is proud to announce the opening of its new office at the Philip SW Goldson International Airport (PGIA). With over 180,000 passengers arriving at the PGIA each year, the multi-purpose office creates a favorable first impression of Belize. Built to international standards, the air-conditioned office is equipped with storage space, enhanced customer-facing facilities, maps, guides, brochures and a colorful mural of popular tourist attractions in Belize. There is also a 42” flat screen television built in the structure which is equipped for displaying vivid Belize tourism attractions while passengers wait in the immigration line to be processed.

Airport Office“The Philip Goldson International Airport is an important point of entry into Belize welcoming more than 70% of total visitors.  “I am pleased that we have been able to provide an attractive, safe, welcoming and convenient environment from which we continue to serve our local and visiting guests,” stated Minister Heredia.

The office will maintain its working hours including Sundays and public holidays.  The new BTB office is the first structure of its kind and adds to the enhancement of the recent renovations made at the PGIA in the arrival hall.  It allows visitors to walk inside the climate control office, taking a personal look around to pick up any promotional materials on Belize and ask any questions they may have or simply sit and relax while they wait for their luggage.

The new structure was built by architects Mitchell Moody & Associates, with assistance by creative designer Anthony Hunt of Yellowtail Designs.
