Belize at the Los Angeles Times Travel & Adventure Show

Belize, along with thousands of travel experts from all over the world, gathered at the Los Angeles Convention Center to display their products and services to consumers who visited the 14^th Annual Los Angeles Times Travel & Adventure Show from February 14^th-15^th. 2009.

More than 550 exhibitors from around the world attended the show to help visitors gather information to plan their vacation, whether it is adventure, business, leisure, or a weekend getaway. Consumers gained insight such as wind surfing, wine tours, safaris, scuba diving, archaeology excursions, to relaxing on a pristine exotic beach. Overall, the show grounds were filled with spectacular travel destinations, activities, resorts, luxury goods and services and a wide array of attractions to fulfill the interests of a traveler.

The Belize booth had a steady flow of traffic during the two days. Most people had heard of Belize and many were amazed by the diversity of products and services Belize offers to make their vacation an unforgettable experience. Belize was well represented at the show with a high demand for maps, general destination information as well as all inclusive vacation packages.

BTB representatives also met with the local press and conducted two on-camera interviews promoting Belize as a premier vacation destination.

Representing the Belize Tourism Board were Director of Marketing, Mrs. Shakira Oxley-Tsai and Marketing Officer, Ms. Vivienne Acosta. Private sector representatives were Belize Vacation Partners and Hugh Parkey's Belize Adventures and Pelican Beach Resorts. The Belize Tourism board thanks the Consulate of Belize in California, His Excellency Mr.Roland Yorke, for his invaluable support and attendance throughout the show.
