Bloggers' Press Tour

Bloggers on top of El Castillo, Xunantunich. The Internet is recognized as a valuable research tool for travelers and social networks and the increasingly popular Online Social networks such as Facebook and Twitter have impacted the way many people do business; connect with travelers and potential clients, friends and family.

When it comes to making travel decisions, consumers have always trusted the opinions of friends, family and others they associate with to provide objective advice in their travel selections. These online social networks are a natural extension of connecting with friends, family and associates for travel decisions.

Confident that this new medium will yield much benefit to the growing tourism industry and Belize on a whole, the BTB hosted it's first "Bloggers" Press Tour November 9th through 14th, 2009. The group of five bloggers included Kara Williams of The Vacation Gals; Kerrin Rousset of MyKugelhopf; Melanie Waldman of Travels With Two; Gennaro Salamone of Enduring Wanderlust and, Christine Gilbert of Almost Fearless. The group was accompanied by BTB's Lorena Martinez and JC Cuellar of Naturalight Productions' Internet Marketing Team. www.belizetourism.org/tblog
