BTB/BHA in Preparation For Upcoming European Trade Shows

The Belize Tourism Board and Belize Hotel Association are in full gear in making final preparations for the first in a series of four tradeshows in the joint European Marketing initiative. The first trade show, Vakantiebiers, was held in Holland from January 12^th - 18^th. Representing Belize were Nick Davies, Sandra van Noord, Luky Bol and a Dutch volunteer.

The second show will be Destinations: The Holiday & Travel Show to be held on February 3rd - February 8^th, 2009. "Destinations: The Holiday & Travel Show," is the United Kingdom's leading consumer travel show and the biggest live marketing channel. The show attracts over 54,000 travel connoisseurs craving inspiration, information and exclusive deals. The show drives sales, build the brand of exhibitors and acts as a hub of consumer travel information. Exhibitors include countries such as Asia & Pacific, Africa & Indian Ocean, Latin America, North America, Europe & UK, Caribbean, Middle East, and Adventure Travel.

Belize private sector representatives at "Destinations" will include Mrs. Mariam Roberson and Mr. Michael Preston representing the Belize Hotel Association; Mr. Nick Davis representing The Victoria House, The Inn at Robert's Grove, Ka'ana Resort & Boutique, and Belizean Dreams; Ms. Christine Spiro and Ms. Alyssa Flota representing El Pescador Lodge. Representing the Belize Tourism Board are the Minister of Tourism & Civil Aviation, Hon. Manuel Heredia Jr., Marketing Officer, Ms. Michelle Bowers, and a member of the Board of Directors, Mr. Santiago Castillo.

The joint European Marketing Initiative aims at having a professional front. All representatives participating in the shows will have a uniformed presence and have been fully trained with knowledge of all participating properties and allied members. The key strategy is to know all company products being represented and to understand what it is to sell Belize. The booth decor will focus on Belize's 4 product offerings under the tagline - "Belize - Central Americas Gateway to the Caribbean ".
