Christmas Joy is Spread Amongst Two Hundred Children
The member lines of the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association, in collaboration with the Belize Tourism Board, hosted 200 children for a morning of Christmas joy and laughter. The event was held at the Institute of Creative Arts- Palm Court, in Belize City.
The Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) Foundation - Foundation for the Caribbean, provides a tangible mechanism for the cruise industry to fund humanitarian causes. In its ten years of existence, the FCCA Foundation for the Caribbean has impacted the lives of tens of thousands of Caribbean citizens providing almost $2 million in funding to causes and charities throughout the region. The foundation is just one way the cruise industry shows its support to its Caribbean partners.
FCCA holds its 'Holiday Gifts Event' annually and children, both- boys and girls- between the ages of 2 and 12, are given an assortment of toys, whilst being entertained by Santa Claus, Fuzzy, the clown, and various and the sounds of Christmas carols music. The children also receive a variety of snacks and drinks adding to a festive time.
The Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) has been hosting its 'Holiday Gifts Event' for the past thirteen years in countries - its member lines frequent- and this is the sixth production hosted in Belize. The initiative between the Belize Tourism Board and the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association was a small way of spreading joy to the children of Belize during the Christmas holidays.
