BTB's Marketing Team Meets Toledo Tourism Stakeholders

The BTB's Marketing Team continued to build a strong relationship with its industry partners and their products as they travelled to Toledo to meet with tourism stakeholders. The team held a marketing presentation on August 26th, 2009 at Marian's Bayview in Punta Gorda where Toledo stakeholders were invited to participate in the presentation.

A welcome cocktail reception was held as the tourism investors had the opportunity to mingle with the marketing team. Before the presentation, the marketing team introduced themselves and their job responsibilities for the stakeholders to become aware of the duties of each officer. The presentation outlined the BTB's marketing efforts that included opportunities for those involved in the industry, such as tradeshow support, participation in travel itineraries for international press, media, travel agents and wholesalers, which leads to international awareness and building a partnership with such wholesalers and travel agents. At the end of the presentation, a Tourism Marketing Kit was given out to those that attended which is a booklet to assist in executing efficient and effective marketing initiatives to expand the tourism business of the stakeholders.

The BTB team in Toledo was represented by the Director of Marketing & PR, Mrs. Shakira Tsai, Registrar of Hotels, Mr. Lloyd Enriquez, Board Representative, Mr. Lindsay Garbutt, and the Marketing Officers, Michelle Bowers, Karina Cunil, Vivienne Acosta, Lorena Martinez, Shyvonne Leslie, and Colleen Gillett.

The Marketing Team also made several site visits with hoteliers to familiarize themselves with the product and services that they offer to visitors.

The Team's next destination visit is scheduled to be in Hopkins and Placencia.
