Greetings from the Belize Tourism Board.

In fulfillment of the BTB's role to develop, manage and promote the Belize tourism industry in a sustainable manner, much is undertaken by the team at the BTB in our annual workplans. Belize's tourism product operates in a competitive global arena and we constantly strive to ensure that:

• Belize's marketing message is heard and heeded in existing and potential markets
• Our tourism attractions are developed and maintained to high standards
• The quality of our tourism services is being sustainably expanded and improved
• The operating environment for stakeholders is healthy and conducive to investment
• Belizeans across all levels are afforded an opportunity to be a part of the tourism industry

This new monthly newsletter is one way in which we plan to keep you abreast of major accomplishments and updates in the areas of marketing, product development, legislation and administration. This will be in addition to our upcoming destination visits and of course, the Annual Industry presentation.

We extend a special invitation for you to join us at the 10th Annual Industry Presentation on May 15th, 2008 at the Belize Biltmore Plaza at 9:30 a.m. where our special guest speaker will be the Prime Minister, Honorable Dean Barrow. Seating is at 9:00 a.m.
