By participating in a select group of travel and tourism shows that target to Belize’s market, the Belize Tourism Board teams up with private sector to promote the country and to network with wholesalers and suppliers.  Shows are chosen every year on the basis of the audience they attract with preference given to those that offer increased opportunities for exposure to Belize’s target market.

This year’s shows include:


First Quarter


TREX (Travel Exchange Central America)

  • TREX is the ONLY Central America Event that brings Tour Operator Buyers, Retail Travel Agents, and Suppliers together for three (3) days of organized and productive business development activities. Over 60 Tour Operators, 75 Supplier companies and organizations providing travel services in every Central America Country, 100 North American Retail Travel Agents, carefully qualified Meeting Planners, and working Journalists have the opportunity to negotiate, educate, and evaluate Central America products and services.

CTO Caribbean Media Marketplace

  • Heads of Government, Ministers, Commissioners and Director’s of Tourism, leaders of the Caribbean Community representing over 30 countries with Dutch, English, French and Spanish heritage bring color, creativity and excitement of the region’s festivals during the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s  celebration of Caribbean Week.

Second Quarter

Annual Bridal Extravaganza Show

  • Brides, grooms and their families can save time, gas, energy, confusion and money by attending the Bridal Extravaganza. Shopping for all their wedding needs at this show eliminates the dreaded phone tag, excess effort in trying to get an appointment with a wedding vendor and complicated phone answering machines: "Push 1, Push 2, Push 3" options can drive a busy bride bananas when she is anxious to complete her wedding plans! Even e-mail messages are time consuming and delay the immediate response a bride wants and needs. Brides for 23 years have found that attending this Main Event skips all those wasted steps because they will be meeting the key personnel of each participating company on the show floor.

Travelmart LatinAmerica

  • Travelmart LatinAmerica is the most important business development event of the year for Latin America Tourism, attended by "Buyers" of Tourism Products and Services from global markets, and "Suppliers" representing every Country in the Region. This event has earned a reputation for "quality" and "results" since it was inaugurated since 1978.

FCCA

  • The Florida - Caribbean Cruise Association’s mandate is to develop cooperative relationship with our destination partners at both the public and private sector levels in order to create a win-win situation for all.

Cancun Travel Mart

  • The Cancun Travel Mart Mexico Summit, sponsored each year by the Cancun Hotel Association, brings "Buyers and Suppliers" of travel products for all of Mexico together for 2 days of pre-scheduled appointments and business sessions. "Buyers" are Tour Operators, Wholesalers, Travel Agents arranging Group Travel, Meeting Planners, and Incentive Buyers from global markets; Suppliers are Airlines, Hotels, Transportation Companies, Destination Service Companies, and Official Tourism Promotion organizations from all of Mexico

DEMA

  • DEMA show is the only international trade event for the diving action water sports and adventure travel industries.  More than 10,000 professionals will gather to combine business, pleasure, education and dive industry advancement to discover the magic of the DEMA show.

World Travel Market

  • Staged annually in London under one roof, World Travel Market (WTM) is a must attend, business to business exhibition. Fourth Quarter

Our World Underwater

  • Our World Underwater hosts over 200 booths featuring dive destinations, training agencies, equipment manufacturers, apparel and dry suit companies, and a variety of regional dive centers. Packed with educational seminars and workshops, the event anticipates over 16,000 show attendees and will feature a film festival, emceed by Stan Waterman.

  • February 9th – 11th, 2008, Chicago

 

NY Times Show

  • The fourth annual New York Times Travel Show is a passport to discovery, a dynamic, interactive experience where everyone passionate about travel can explore premiere destinations, properties, products and services.  Exhibitors and sponsors have the opportunity to reach 25,000 and travelers and travel professionals through integrated promotional programs at this unique show.
