The month of September is a jovial time in which Belize commemorates two important national holidays: The Battle of St. George’s Caye (September 10th) and Independence Day (September 21st). Three weeks of countrywide activities and events celebrating the nation’s people, history, and culture. These include Carnival street parades, Queen of the Bay Pageant, flag raising and official ceremonies, fireworks displays, citizens parade, cultural shows, and the Belize Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s Expo Belize Trade Show.

All Belizeans, living at home or abroad, are invited to submit
recommendations for the theme for this year's September Celebrations
commemorating the 210th Anniversary of the Battle of St. George's Caye and the 27th Anniversary of Belize's Independence. The theme should reflect Belize's growth and development as a nation and be no more than 10 words.
Winner Receives $1,000 Cash Prize
