The BTB's Social Studies Competition is an annual national event that aims to educate the children of Belize about the history, geography and culture of the country and to foster civic education to all concerned.

The competition started in 2004 as a district competition and has grown in the last five years to be a national competition with over 50 primary school children participating from the fifth and sixth grades representing over 30 primary schools competing for great prizes.
